g9 transformer The product is excellent. My G9 sounds as good as ever, but is now also silent - no buzz nor any mechanical trafo noise either.

Dangerous!! Do Not Use In G9!!! This transformer is misrepresented. Its advertised as 230 Volt Secondary but if you look at the actual label it is 270 volt and under the load from a G9 it is even higher. Dont fry your board like I did. Thankfully thats the only thing that happened since the voltage is way too high for the G9 BOM. Extremely dangerous and reckless of don-audio!!! ##### Answer from Don-Audio Dear Christopher, this toroidal transformer has a correct labeling but the description seems to be wrong in our webpage. We have to figure out what happened here since this is a project made and supported by customers there must have been a change to 270V for some reason. We will change that as soon we have figured out why the data is different. Apollogize for this issue. We were also in contact by mail regarding this to find a solution. Best Regards Don

Not adapted to G9 Instead of what is annouced, this transformer is not adapted to the G9 project. Ive bought one few years ago and each time I fired up my unit, I had bridged rectifier diodes smoking. Ive burnt a few and Ive spent so many hours trying to understand why and resolve this issue untill I realised that the faulty guy was this transformer. The values announced are not the real ones. I bought two transforrmers, one 12V and one 15V secondaries like in the BOM and my G9 works like a charm since. Dont buy it if you plan to build a G9. Its probably adaptapted for another project, but definitelly not for the Gyraf G9.
