It is a real quality rotary switch from the bottom to the top and every single detail is well done. Maybe one of the main reason to use the SMT version is, it is a big time saver to solder each resistor on the attenuator. There are five resistor options to point out the right value. The resistors are thin-film resistors which are common in the audio high-end industry. Also the Dangerous 2-Bus has those resistors to mention a reference.
